Lyon and Le Havre draw after late VAR drama
Lyon drew 1-1 at home with Le Havre in a French Ligue 1 match. In stoppage time, the visitors scored for a second time, but after a VAR review the goal was disallowed for handball in the build-up.
As Channel NewsAsia reports, Lyon had more possession and created the more dangerous chances in the first half, but did not open the scoring.
Disallowed goals and a late response
In the 62nd minute, home midfielder Corentin Tolisso sent the ball into Le Havre's net, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review for offside. In the 74th minute, Ally Samatta put Le Havre ahead, capitalising on a pass from substitute Fodé Doucouré.

In their first home league match of the season, Lyon equalised in the 87th minute through Belgian forward Loïs Openda. Le Havre's Japanese playmaker Sota Nakamura scored in stoppage time in a goal that could have brought the visitors victory, but VAR detected handball in the build-up. The match ended 1-1.
