Judges’ decision
The UFC 332 bout lasted all five rounds. The 29-year-old Silva won on the judges’ scorecards by 48:47, 48:47 and 49:46. The victory was the Brazilian’s 15th in a row, and her winning streak has continued since 2017.
After the fight, Silva urged people not to give up on their goals and called herself the new queen of the division. She also noted that Wang Cong was a difficult opponent.

Belt vacated due to Shevchenko’s injury
Silva was initially due to face Kyrgyzstan’s Valentina Shevchenko for the title. However, the fight was cancelled after Shevchenko was forced to vacate the belt last month because of an injury. After the bout, Shevchenko congratulated Silva on the social network X and said she would return for the title.
Another fight of the evening
Earlier, British heavyweight Mick Parkin spent less than four minutes in the octagon: he was knocked out by a knee strike from Brazilian Johnny Walker, who was making his heavyweight debut.
