Roman Yaremchuk has been named to Olympiacos' roster for the Europa League

Ukrainian national team forward Roman Yaremchuk has been included in Olympiacos Piraeus’ updated roster for the Europa League. The Ukrainian forward replaced Moroccan player Ayub El Kaabi on the roster, who is out for an extended period due to injury.

The decision to include Roman Yaremchuk on the roster coincided with a change in Olympiacos’ head coach.

Last week, the Greek club fired Spanish coach José Luis Mendilibar. Another Spanish coach, Imanol Alguacil, was appointed to replace him.

It is likely that the “Red-and-Whites’” new coach is ready to give the Ukrainian forward a chance to prove himself on the team.

This season, Roman Yaremchuk has played in two matches, but has yet to score a goal or record an assist.

Over the summer, the Ukrainian striker was unable to find a new club, so he remained with Olympiacos.

Now Yaremchuk will have the opportunity to play for the Piraeus club in the Europa League and prove his value to the new coach.

This was reported on the tournament’s official website.

Previously, Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk was not included in Greek club Olympiacos’s roster for the Champions League third qualifying round matches against Dutch club Nijmegen.

As a reminder, UEFA has appointed the refereeing crews for both of Kyiv’s “Dynamo” matches against Azerbaijan’s “Qarabağ” in the third qualifying round of the 2026/2027 Conference League. The first leg in Lublin on August 6 will be officiated by a Danish crew led by Morten Kroh, while the return leg in Baku on August 13 will be officiated by English referees led by Stuart Attwell.
