Tyson Fury defeated Russia's Makhmudov upon his return to the ring
British boxer Tyson Fury scored a convincing victory over Russia's Arslanbek Makhmudov in his first fight following a long hiatus.
The "Gypsy King’s" triumphant return took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, where he demonstrated total dominance over his opponent.
This was Fury’s first appearance in the ring in the past year and a half.
The previous period was difficult for the boxer, as in 2024 he lost his WBC title after two defeats to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, marking the first losses of his professional career.
Despite his long absence, the Briton returned in excellent form.
His opponent, 36-year-old Arslanbek Makhmudov, who last fought in the fall of 2025, was unable to offer the former champion any meaningful resistance and failed to put up a serious fight throughout the entire bout.

Fury landed 199 accurate punches, while the Russian managed only 59. The difference in power punches was particularly striking, with Fury’s advantage being virtually overwhelming—76 to his opponent’s 7.
The British boxer increased the pace and intensity of his attacks with each successive round.
While he landed only 5 accurate shots at the very start of the bout, by the final stages of the fight, the number of accurate strikes had risen to 23 per three-minute round.
In contrast, the Russian boxer looked helpless under pressure from the favorite. Throughout the entire bout, Makhmudov never managed to land more than eight accurate shots in a single round, underscoring the difference in class between the athletes.
The fight lasted all 12 scheduled rounds, but there was no suspense regarding the winner.
The judges were unanimous in their verdict, recording lopsided scores on their scorecards: 120–108, 120–108, and 119–109 in favor of the former world champion.
