Tyson Fury announced that he had reached an agreement with Usyk regarding a third fight
Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has announced his intention to hold a third bout against Oleksandr Usyk in the first quarter of 2027 at Madison Square Garden in New York. According to the British boxer, he has already discussed the potential trilogy with the Ukrainian champion, who has reportedly agreed to it.
The British boxer plans to step into the ring against Usyk after his fight with Anthony Joshua, scheduled for December 11 in Cardiff.
Fury said: “To warm up, I want to smash that bum Joshua to smithereens, and then have a trilogy with ‘Rabbit’ Usyk. I’ve discussed this with Alex, and he’s ready to fight next year—in the first quarter. A fight against Joshua in Cardiff, followed by one against Usyk at Madison Square Garden in New York—that would be the icing on the cake of my long and brilliant career.” Meanwhile, Usyk, who defeated the British fighter twice in 2024, may, according to preliminary reports, face Deontay Wilder in his next fight in March 2027 in the U.S.

As a reminder, Oleksandr Usyk retained the top spot in the updated rankings of the best heavyweight boxers according to the British publication talkSPORT. The Ukrainian champion finished ahead of Daniel Dubois and Agit Kabayel.
Usyk is back in the gym and preparing for the next stage of his career.
Oleksandr Usyk has earned hundreds of millions of dollars over his career, with the bulk of that coming from his most recent fights.
