Ukraine got off to a strong start

The second day began with a doubles match. Ukraine was represented by Vladislav Orlov and Oleksandr Ovcharenko. Their opponents were Stilianos Christodoulou and Eleftherios Neos. The Cypriots were able to take advantage of their home-court advantage and defeated the Ukrainian duo in two sets—6–3, 6–4.
The match lasted one hour and 15 minutes. After this loss, the series stood at 2–1 in Ukraine’s favor, so the hosts still had a chance to force a decisive fifth match. However, the suspense didn’t last long.
Kravchenko Sealed the Deal
In the fourth match, Georgiy Kravchenko took the court again. This time, his opponent was Melios Efstathiou. The Ukrainian played the match with great confidence. Kravchenko won the first set 6–0, and in the second set, he conceded only one game to his opponent—6–1. The match ended in one hour and 25 minutes.
Thus, Kravchenko secured the decisive third point for Ukraine. The final score of the series was 3–1 in favor of the Ukrainian national team. For Kravchenko, this match was particularly significant, as he was making his national team debut and immediately earned two points for the team.

The victory over Cyprus allowed the Ukrainian national team to advance to the Davis Cup World Group I playoffs. The matches in this stage are scheduled for February 2027.
