Ukrainian soccer player Konoplya will continue his career in Germany

Ukrainian national team defender Yevhen Konoplya has left Shakhtar (Donetsk) and joined the German club Borussia (Mönchengladbach). The Donetsk club announced the transfer of the 26-year-old player.

This was reported by Shakhtar.

The clubs have agreed on the final details of the transfer, and the player has signed a personal contract with the German team. 

Yukhim Konoplya is a product of the Shakhtar Academy. He made his debut for the first team in August 2021 and played a total of 114 matches in the orange-and-black jersey, scoring 7 goals and providing 15 assists.

With Shakhtar, he won six trophies: he became Ukrainian champion three times (2023, 2024, 2026), won two Ukrainian Cups (2024, 2025), and the Ukrainian Super Cup (2021). 

“FC Shakhtar thanks Yuhim Konoplya for his contribution to the team’s victories and achievements, his dedication and passion on the field, and for all the emotions and memorable moments we shared together. We wish him continued success in his future soccer career!” reads the statement from the “Miners.”
