Norway’s Casper Ruud secured a hard-fought victory over American Tommy Paul – 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-5.
20-year-old Czech Jakub Menšík defeated the world’s seventh-ranked player, Australian Alex de Minor, 0-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-3.
Russia’s Karen Khachanov lost to the Netherlands’ Jesper de Jong, ranked 106th in the ATP rankings, with a score of 5-7, 7-5, 2-6, 7-6, 2-6.
