Volleyball player Wilfredo Leon resumes full training — Interia Sport
In Poland, volleyball player Wilfredo Leon has returned to full training after knee problems that troubled him during the European Championship. This was reported by the Bogdanka LUK Lublin club, Interia Sport writes.
Recovery after the European Championship
According to the outlet, 33-year-old Leon completed the continental championship despite discomfort in his knee joint. He did not take the court in the match against Bulgaria, and during the semifinal against Slovenia, an ice wrap was applied to his knee.
After the tournament ended, Leon underwent a special recovery programme. Among the Poland national team players who won European Championship gold, he rested the longest.

Return to the club season
Bogdanka LUK Lublin announced the volleyball player's return to training on Instagram, publishing a music video featuring Leon and Dua Lipa. The post was accompanied by the caption “King is back”.
At the European Championship, Leon scored 73 points and recorded 11 aces. For the second consecutive time, he was named the most valuable player of the competition's final stage. Two other European champions, Marcin Komenda and Kevin Sasak, had previously returned to training. The club will play its first match of the new Polish PlusLiga season away against ZAKSA from Kędzierzyn-Koźle on October 18.
