Instinct and Meta Muse add calling feature — TechCrunch
In the United States, the AI agents Instinct and Meta Muse have gained the ability to make phone calls to carry out users’ requests. Meta Muse will be able to call U.S. companies, while Instinct has launched the Concierge feature.
Calls for everyday tasks
As TechCrunch reports, Instinct founder Noah Shinn announced the launch of Instinct Concierge on X. The feature can book tables at restaurants that do not accept online reservations, add a user to a waiting list for a dentist appointment, and help resolve issues with cable TV bills.
Concierge is being rolled out in early access to some Instinct users. The company plans to make the feature available to all users later.
The Meta Muse agent, launched last week, has also gained the ability to call companies in the United States. Initially, the option will be opened to users who ask Muse to make a call. Meta said that the agent’s new features will primarily be provided to those who ask about them in chat.

Last week, Instinct also gave agents email addresses for registering and managing accounts. In addition, the service allowed users’ assistants to contact other people’s assistants to complete specific tasks, provided those users have been added to a trusted network.
According to analytics company Sensor Tower, the Muse app gained more than 730,000 downloads in the first days after its launch in the United States. By comparison, the Meta AI app was downloaded 707,000 times in the first five days after its release. Muse also held second place in the app rankings for some time.
Instinct raised $350 million last month at a $2.5 billion valuation. According to the publication, the startup is also in talks to raise $1 billion at a $10 billion valuation.
