AI assistant Instinct gets its own email addresses — TechCrunch
The AI assistant Instinct has launched its own email addresses for users, through which the agent will be able to independently create and manage accounts, contact companies, and complete tasks that require correspondence. TechCrunch reports on the new feature.
Separate email for agent tasks
Instinct founder Noah Shinn said that separate addresses would allow the assistant to use its own email without overloading a person's inbox. According to him, the agent will be able to register accounts on various services, manage them, contact businesses, and handle matters requiring further attention.
As an example, Shinn cited Instinct's ability to contact a restaurant with a special request, check with a company on the availability of services, or register for a service needed to complete a user's assignment. Instinct said it had reserved some addresses for its earliest users, while others can obtain them through the company's service.
Product returns and handling correspondence
Users will be able to forward Instinct emails containing data needed to complete a task. In particular, to arrange a product return, they can send the assistant an order confirmation. After that, according to the company's description, the agent can contact customer support, provide order details, clarify a return or replacement option, and return to the user with a label for printing.

Instinct's address can also be added to group email threads so that the agent can follow the exchange of information. A long correspondence can also be forwarded to it, with questions about decisions that still need to be made, task deadlines, or other details. If the assistant needs human involvement, it will contact the user; in other cases, it will act autonomously.
Other platform updates
The new feature complements Instinct's recent updates. The company entered into a partnership with 1Password to help the agent log in to users' existing accounts. The service also received a location-sharing feature that makes it possible to search for nearby businesses and restaurants, build routes, and answer questions about the user's location history.
In August, Instinct announced a partnership with Stripe to simplify payments. According to the company, this allows the agent to book trips, classes, and appointments, as well as make purchases.
