The lawyer reported three searches of Yermak's apartment
The lawyer for Andriy Yermak, the former head of the Office of the President, stated that NABU detectives had conducted three searches of his apartment. According to the defense, the investigators allegedly knew the layout of the apartment in great detail and took note of even minor changes. It is also reported that personal belongings were seized.
This was stated by lawyer Ihor Fomin during a court hearing, according to the defense. He claims that anti-corruption authorities repeatedly came to Andriy Yermak’s apartment and conducted searches.
According to the lawyer, NABU detectives were allegedly so familiar with the apartment that they noticed even minor changes in the interior. “The NABU detective knows better than anyone where things are in Yermak’s apartment. He noted that there were more candles on the table than before,” the lawyer quoted the defense as saying.
Fomin also stated that personal items, including a toothbrush and bottles of water, were seized during the searches of the apartment. According to him, the investigative actions were not limited to Yermak’s residence alone—searches were also conducted at the homes of associated individuals, including a psychologist and the former official’s father.
At present, official details of the investigative actions by anti-corruption authorities have not been specified in public statements, and the positions of the parties in the case continue to be presented during the court proceedings.
