The required bail of 140 million hryvnia for Andriy Yermak, the former head of the President’s Office, has likely already been raised, but there have been delays in the funds being credited.

This was stated by lawyer Ihor Fomin.

According to him, the money is being transferred by a large number of people, which is causing technical delays in the banking system.

“If all the payments people are making have been credited, then this amount should have been deposited,” he said.

Fomin also assured that the amount has definitely exceeded 70 million hryvnias, and the remaining funds are in the process of being credited. According to the lawyer, he personally contributed 5 million hryvnias.

Yermak expressed respect for state institutions in court

Former Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak stated on the evening of May 11, after receiving a notice of suspicion from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, that he would not comment on anything during the investigation.

The European Commission commented on the Yermak case.

The lawyer for former Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak stated that NABU detectives conducted three searches of his apartment. According to the defense, the investigators allegedly knew the layout of the home in great detail and paid attention even to minor changes. The seizure of personal belongings was also reported.

During the court hearing on the selection of a preventive measure for Andriy Yermak, his lawyer questioned the investigation’s claim that the then-head of the Presidential Office could have been involved in a money laundering scheme.
