The grandmother of an SBU investigator became a co-owner of an estate linked to Tatneft entities

The 79-year-old grandmother of SBU investigator Dmytro Voitenko has become a co-owner of a luxury real estate complex near Kyiv that previously belonged to an entity with possible ties to the Russian group “Tatneft.”

The property complex, spanning over 1,700 square meters, is located in the village of Katerynivka in the Kyiv region. According to journalists, in September 2023, Maria Yermolenko—the grandmother of the SBU investigator—purchased a portion of the property, while entrepreneur Oleg Datsenko, who previously headed the company “Tatneft-Center,” became the other co-owner.

Journalists note that the property was officially appraised at 23.5 million hryvnias, although its market value may exceed $2 million. Experts do not rule out that the sale at an undervalued price could have been linked to an attempt to avoid sanctions risks or the possible confiscation of the asset.

Dmytro Voitenko himself stated that he was unaware of his grandmother’s transaction and has no information about the source of the funds used to purchase the property.
