‘Much can change’ — Zelensky coordinates steps with NATO and the European Commission

President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced an intensive wave of diplomatic activity that could significantly influence Ukraine's course in the coming days.

Among the key interlocutors are the NATO Secretary General and the President of the European Commission, with whom Kyiv is synchronising its actions across all areas.

In his address on 30 November, the head of state emphasised that coordination with partners is reaching its peak.

The main focus is on aligning actions with allies to quickly make decisions that strengthen Ukraine's position. According to Zelensky, the effectiveness of joint efforts is especially crucial now. He reported on a conversation with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and noted that the dialogue will continue in the coming days. He stressed that coordination with NATO and EU partners is having a tangible effect and accelerating practical decisions.

Attention is centred on joint measures that enable coordinated action in all spheres, from defence to the economy. Kyiv expects that such cooperation will yield concrete results in the short term.

A separate conversation took place with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, during which both sides confirmed full agreement on assessments and next steps. According to Zelensky, the European Union continues to provide stable and strategic support for Ukraine.

Considerable attention is also being paid to strengthening the resilience of Ukraine’s energy and critical infrastructure amid constant Russian attacks. Discussions include additional assistance for energy security — Ukraine’s needs, Zelensky said, have been heard.
