Most regions will experience rain, thunderstorms, and squalls on May 13–14
Unstable and rainy weather is expected in Ukraine on May 13. Forecasters predict precipitation across nearly the entire country, with thunderstorms, heavy rain, and gusty winds in some regions.
This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
On Wednesday, moderate rain is expected in most regions of Ukraine, with the exception of parts of the western regions, and at night—in the eastern regions as well.
In the central and southern regions, thunderstorms are forecast during the day, with heavy rain in some areas and gusts of wind up to 15–20 m/s.

- northwest;
- on the Left Bank — southeasterly;
- speed 7–12 m/s.
Air temperature on May 13
- at night: +9…+14°;
- in western regions: +4…+9°;
- during the day in the western, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia regions: +13…+18°;
- in the rest of the country: +17…+22°.
Rainy weather is forecast for the capital on May 13.
Temperature:
- at night: +11…+13°;
- during the day: +14…+16°.
Wind: northwest, 7–12 m/s.
According to the Borys Sreznevskyi Central Geophysical Observatory, the warmest May 13 in Kyiv was in 1996—nearly +30°—and the coldest was in 1900—0.8° below freezing.
On Thursday, May 14, rain will continue across most of the country.
Precipitation is not forecast only:
- in the western regions;
- Zhytomyr;
- Vinnytsia;
- and during the day — also in the Odesa region.
Thunderstorms are possible in some areas, and heavy rain is expected in the northeastern regions.

- at night: +7…+12°;
- in the west: +2…+7°;
- during the day: +13…+18°;
- in the east of the country — up to +22°.
Forecasters also predict rain in Kyiv.

- during the day: +16…+18°.
The wind will remain northwesterly, with speeds of 7–12 m/s.
On Tuesday, May 12, warm weather will continue in Ukraine—air temperatures will rise to +24 degrees in some areas. At the same time, rain with thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind are expected in several regions.
In several regions of Ukraine, forecasters have warned of deteriorating weather conditions expected during the day on May 8. This applies most to the western regions, as well as the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, where thunderstorms are forecast.
In the coming days, weather conditions in Ukraine will change—short-lived rains, thunderstorms in some areas, and a gradual drop in air temperature are expected in most regions.
