Britain Will Supply Ukraine with Missiles for the Patriot System Ahead of a Difficult Winter
The United Kingdom is allocating 100 million pounds sterling for a winter aid package to support Ukraine’s air defense. It will include hard-to-find interceptor missiles for Patriot systems, which are intended to help protect the lives of Ukrainians during the winter.

According to him, this aid is of the utmost importance to Ukrainians today.
Zaluzhny noted that the United Kingdom is allocating £100 million to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense ahead of winter. A key part of the package is interceptor missiles for the Patriot system and other air defense equipment, which are expected to arrive in Ukraine before the start of winter as part of the PURL.
“The significance of this step by the British cannot be overstated. Missiles for Patriot systems—which are in short supply worldwide—represent the air defense reinforcement that Ukraine critically needs in light of Russia’s escalating ballistic missile strikes. This is not a solution to the problem, nor is it a panacea, but it is, without a doubt, a significant contribution. It will help protect our infrastructure, but most importantly—the lives of Ukrainians,” the ambassador emphasized.

He also added that the UK is accelerating the delivery of drones: of the more than 120,000 planned for this year, 25,000 have already been delivered. Deliveries of long-range artillery ammunition, funded by the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, are continuing.
"We see that Russia is focused solely on escalating its attacks. This can only be countered through joint action by our allies. We thank the government and people of the United Kingdom for this support. You are not leaving us to face this difficult winter alone. This is what true solidarity and friendship look like in hard times,” Zaluzhny concludes.
