Budanov called on partners to speed up the delivery of missiles for air defense
Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President, called on international partners to increase the supply of missiles for air defense systems as soon as possible. According to him, strengthening Ukraine’s air defense will help protect the civilian population not only in Ukraine but also in Western countries.
The Head of the Office of the President emphasized that allies must recognize the strategic importance of supporting Ukraine’s air defense.
“Our partners must understand: providing Ukraine with missiles for air defense today means preserving peaceful life in the West. We are also working to strengthen our air defense capabilities on our own. And solutions will be found,” Budanov said.
According to Budanov, Russia continues to launch missile strikes on civilian infrastructure in an attempt to intimidate Ukrainians and break their resistance.
However, he emphasized that such actions are not achieving their intended goal.
“By launching devastating strikes on homes, logistics, and warehouses, the enemy is hoping in vain to break us. The killers’ blind obsession comes up against the most important thing—our unwavering resilience and unity,” the head of the Office of the President emphasized.
Budanov also expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the Russian missile attack on the Kyiv region.
He stressed that Russia will undoubtedly be held accountable for every life cut short, and that Ukraine will continue to strengthen its air defense system together with its international partners.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte regarding the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense. The parties discussed the supply of interceptor missiles to protect against air attacks.
Zelenskyy discussed Ukraine’s protection against ballistic missiles with the British Defense Minister.
British Defense Minister Wes Streeting made his first visit to Kyiv since taking office. He came to personally assess Ukraine’s needs ahead of the winter season and determine the next steps for military support.
Zelenskyy suggested that Ukraine is being denied air defense missiles in an attempt to coerce it into negotiations with Russia.
