Budanov called on partners to jointly develop means of intercepting drones
Ukraine may offer its international partners cooperation in the field of intercepting jet-powered drones. According to Kirill Budanov, Ukrainian developments in this area require significant funding to scale up, so they can be developed jointly with partners.
Ukraine Offers Partnership in Technology
Countries that have existing cooperation agreements with Ukraine in the field of drones could negotiate access to Kyiv’s latest technologies. This involves countering new Russian jet-powered drones, Budanov noted.
The Head of the Office of the President says that Ukraine is already deploying its new interception technology in combat conditions. The priority now is to rapidly scale up production before the harshest part of winter sets in.
According to Budanov, this technology can intercept Russian “Shahed” jet drones in most cases. However, the main challenge remains producing it in sufficiently large quantities.
“This is not about any specific product, but about the principle of cooperation between countries regarding such products,” Budanov said.
He believes that every partner that has signed agreements with Ukraine regarding drones has the right to continue negotiations on specific products.
Budanov is also confident that Ukraine will be able to reach the necessary production level by winter. The urgency of this race is already evident, he says.
