To retain employees, companies may set a salary threshold of 28,600 UAH
Companies may need an average salary of at least 28,638 thousand UAH to retain employees in 2027. This figure is provided for in the draft state budget for 2027 in connection with the planned increase in the minimum wage.
According to Bill No. 16000 dated September 15, the draft state budget for 2027 provides for an increase in the minimum wage effective January 1, 2027, to 9,546 UAH from the current 8,647 UAH.
According to Resolution No. 692 of May 30, 2026, in order to reserve employees, companies must currently have an average wage of at least three times the minimum wage (currently 25,941 per month), and their employees eligible for retention must also earn that amount throughout the retention period.
If the state budget is adopted with the specified increase in the minimum wage, starting January 1, 2027, companies will be required to have an average monthly wage of at least 28,638 UAH, and their employees applying for the reservation must maintain that salary throughout the reservation period.
