Another participant in the "bookmaking" scheme from Kryvyi Rih has been extradited to Ukraine

Another participant in a fraudulent “bookmaking” scheme from Kryvyi Rih was recently extradited to Ukraine. In 2023, he was a member of an organized group that systematically defrauded citizens under the guise of a bookmaking company.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.

Through fake Instagram accounts showcasing a lavish lifestyle, the perpetrators convinced people to place non-existent bets, “confirmed winnings,” and lured out additional funds, after which they disappeared.

The man was hiding from the investigation and was placed on Interpol’s national and international wanted lists. In August 2025, he was detained in Germany and, at the request of the prosecutor’s office, was recently extradited to Ukraine. He is currently in custody.

He is charged with participating in fraud committed by an organized group using computer technology (Part 2 of Article 27 and Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Indictments against eight of his former colleagues are already being heard in court, and their assets have been seized.

Since the beginning of 2026, the prosecutor’s office has secured the extradition of nineteen individuals to Ukraine: eight from Poland, six from Germany, two from the Czech Republic, and one each from Spain, Latvia, and Belgium.

The inevitability of punishment is not a slogan, but a reality that holds true even thousands of kilometers away. Justice knows no borders, and anyone who tries to hide behind them must realize this. The work continues.

A man from Kherson, suspected of raping and murdering a 7-year-old girl as well as murdering her mother, was extradited from Poland to Ukraine. He was handed over to Ukrainian law enforcement for further investigation of the case.

Law enforcement officials also completed the extradition to Ukraine of a resident of Zaporizhzhia accused of serious crimes committed while in custody.
