Undercover officers issued 810 traffic tickets to drivers in Kyiv and the surrounding region in a single day
During the first day of operations by the “phantom patrols” on the roads of Kyiv and the surrounding region, law enforcement officers issued 810 citations for traffic violations.
Most often, drivers were fined for speeding.

As a result of their operations on August 31, 810 citations were issued for traffic violations recorded automatically. This covers Kyiv and the Kyiv region. 810 citations in a single day represent, first and foremost, 810 instances of disregarding established speed limits. “Drive responsibly,” Biloshitsky wrote.
On September 1, Oleksiy Biloshitsky, head of the Patrol Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine, reported on the results of the “Phantoms’” operations.
A driver successfully had a speeding ticket overturned in court due to a police officer’s use of a TruCAM.
As a reminder, the police have warned Ukrainians about fake fines for traffic violations.
Fines for speeding will increase sharply in Ukraine.
Over the past year, the number of reserved workers in Ukraine has increased significantly—by approximately 300,000 people—and the number of enterprises recognized as critically important to the economy has also risen. The government attributes these changes to the expansion of the “reservation” mechanisms, particularly for frontline regions, and is preparing to update the relevant regulations.
