Fedorov Identified the Main Flaw in Military Reform and Mobilization
Former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated that the government made a mistake by failing to hold a broad public discussion prior to the first phase of military transformation and changes to the mobilization system.
According to him, before proceeding with further reforms, it is necessary to openly present the concept, discuss it with the military, experts, members of parliament, representatives of the Territorial Defense Forces, the police, and the public, in order to establish a new social contract regarding mobilization.
Fedorov emphasized that the main issue is not the work of the Territorial Mobilization Centers (TMCs) per se, but rather the approaches to mobilization policy.
Responding to a question about the President’s vision for future mobilization, the former minister noted that this issue should be addressed by the head of state himself.
