A finalist on "The Bachelorette" has enlisted in the State Border Guard Service

Dmytro Shevchenko, a finalist on the second season of the show “The Bachelorette,” announced that he had been drafted into the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and posted his first photo in military uniform.

He shared his decision on June 15—his 43rd birthday.

“The security of the state depends on the border guards. Our borders are our home. I don’t know what the coming year will bring, but I know for sure: I want to meet it with honor, faith, and dignity—faith in myself, my comrades, and Ukraine,” Shevchenko wrote.

Dmytro Shevchenko is known as a coach and Master of Sports of Ukraine. In the past, he competed in gymnastics, swimming, boxing, and kickboxing, having fought in over 350 matches.

He gained widespread popularity after participating in the show “The Bachelorette” with singer Zlata Ognevich in 2021, where he made it to the final.
