Ukraine has set a five-year record for chicken exports
In May 2026, Ukraine exported 43,600 tons of poultry meat, marking the highest monthly figure in the past five years.
Compared to April, export volumes increased by 7%. At the same time, export revenue rose by 10.7% to $93.6 million. The growth is attributed to an increase in the average selling price of the product to $2.15 per kilogram.
In total, during the first five months of 2026, Ukraine supplied 207,100 tons of poultry meat to foreign markets, which is 6.1% more than during the same period last year.
The largest buyers of Ukrainian chicken were the Netherlands, which accounted for 17.9% of exports, the United Kingdom—11.8%, Slovakia—10.2%, and the United Arab Emirates—6.9%.
Nearly 70,000 tons of products were shipped to European Union countries, or 34.9% of total exports. At the same time, the European market alone accounted for 44.8% of all foreign exchange earnings from poultry meat sales.
In addition, over the course of five months, Ukraine exported 7,200 tons of finished poultry products worth $24.4 million.
