A burned-out passenger car with a deceased person inside was found in the Vinnytsia district. Law enforcement officers are working at the scene. The remains have been sent for a forensic medical examination to determine the circumstances and cause of death.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia Oblast.

 

“On the morning of May 27, locals spotted the car near the settling ponds close to the village of Shkurynci. During an inspection of the Skoda Fabia, police discovered the charred remains of a person, which have been sent for a forensic medical examination to definitively identify the deceased and determine the cause of death,” the statement reads.

According to police, the driver was a Vinnytsia resident born in 1998. Circumstances have been established that may indicate a possible suicide.

A case has been opened under Article 115 of the Criminal Code, preliminarily classified as suicide; however, all circumstances of the incident will be established during the investigation.
