"It is impossible to guarantee European security without Ukraine's experience," Zelenskyy said
During the opening ceremony of Ireland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine’s security expertise, honed in the context of modern warfare, is critically important for the protection of European borders. This is particularly true for air defense and maritime security, where every country currently needs effective means of monitoring and protection.
The head of state emphasized that Russia will not stop its aggression of its own accord, despite calls from world leaders, so dictator Putin must be placed in conditions that make it impossible for him to continue hostilities.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is already creating such conditions through long-range strikes on the enemy’s oil and military facilities, as well as through medium-range sanctions that make the occupiers’ presence on Ukrainian soil unbearable. Joint pressure from European institutions and the application of Ukraine’s experience should form the basis for compelling the aggressor to make peace.
