Attorney General Kravchenko Alleged Pressure from NABU Over Suspicions Against Kryvonos
Attorney General Ruslan Kravchenko stated that representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), specifically Oleksandr Abakumov, demanded that the leadership of the Office of the Attorney General and the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) revoke the notice of suspicion against Kryvonos “at any cost.”
According to Kravchenko, the notice of suspicion was sent, as confirmed by postal receipts. He also noted that any attempt to revoke the notice of suspicion or remove the relevant information from the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations would constitute “political and unlawful interference.”

The Anti-Corruption Center stated that Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko allegedly left Ukraine after signing the notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. The Anti-Corruption Center claims that this may have been done in exchange for permission to leave the country.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have denied Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko’s statements regarding the alleged notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and offers of immunity.
