Thunderstorms and hail are expected to hit several regions of Ukraine on July 1
Forecasters are warning of thunderstorms and, in some areas, hail in a number of regions on July 1. The inclement weather may disrupt operations at energy, construction, and utility companies, as well as affect traffic.
On July 1, thunderstorms are expected during the day in the Volyn, Lviv, and Zakarpattia regions, with hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s in some areas. A Level I (yellow) hazard alert has been issued.
“Weather conditions may complicate the operations of energy, construction, and utility companies, as well as disrupt traffic,” emphasize forecasters at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
