Yushchenko criticized the idea of making concessions to Russia and addressed Goncharenko
Ukraine's third president, Viktor Yushchenko, criticized statements about possible concessions by Russia to end the war.
He urged Ukrainian politicians not to open up for discussion issues of language, identity, faith, and national security.
Yushchenko did not directly name the politician in question, but his post suggests he was referring to Oleksiy Honcharenko, who had previously spoken about possible conditions for peace.
Yushchenko compared such proposals to the 1938 Munich Agreement, when Western powers agreed to cede the Sudetenland to Nazi Germany. According to him, concessions to the aggressor do not guarantee lasting peace.
The former president stated that, in his opinion, Ukraine’s position should be based on three principles: refusing to compromise on Ukrainian identity; ensuring security through a strong military and full NATO membership; and achieving victory rather than capitulation.
Yushchenko also called on politicians to be responsible in their statements and not to agree to deals that could affect fundamental issues of the state’s existence.

Ukrainian People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko has been added to the “Myrotvorets” website’s database. Ukrainian media reported this, citing information published on the site.
The “European Solidarity” faction has decided to end its political partnership with Member of Parliament Oleksiy Goncharenko. The decision was prompted by ideological differences and divergent positions on ending the war and Ukraine’s future security system.
