The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Yevhen Khmara from his post as Deputy Minister of Defense

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed Yevhen Khmara from the position of Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine and revoked the decision to temporarily assign him the duties of Minister of Defense.

According to Order No. 795, Yevhen Khmara was dismissed from his position as Deputy Minister of Defense at his own request.

At the same time, by Order No. 796, the Cabinet of Ministers declared null and void the previous decision to temporarily assign Khmara the duties of Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

Thus, Yevhen Khmara no longer serves as acting head of the Ministry of Defense and has left his post as deputy minister.

Previously, following personnel changes at the Ministry of Defense, Khmara had been appointed acting head of the ministry.

The government adopted the corresponding decision through two decrees.

The Verkhovna Rada has received nominations from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to appoint Yevhen Khmara as Minister of Defense of Ukraine and Andriy Sybiga as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Meetings are continuing in the Verkhovna Rada between members of parliament and the candidates for the positions of Minister of Defense Yevhen Khmara and Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga.
