Kosiv backed Zelenskyy's position on the dispute with Poland over the UPA
Former Member of Parliament and dissident Mykhailo Kosiv spoke positively about President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s response to the discussions in Poland regarding the commemoration of UPA figures.
In an interview with Glavkom, he stated that the Ukrainian president’s lack of a public response is the right approach.
According to Kosiv, Poland has created a difficult situation for itself, so Kyiv should not intervene in this debate. He believes that the Polish side must find a way out of the conflict on its own.
The dissident also expressed the view that disputes over historical events are a consequence of long-standing Polish-Ukrainian tensions. In his opinion, contemporary Polish policy on these issues is partly based on historical approaches from past centuries.
