Exchange Rates as of September 17: The Dollar and the Euro Have Weakened
The National Bank of Ukraine lowered the official exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the hryvnia by three kopecks, the euro by seven kopecks, and the Polish zloty by four kopecks.
The new exchange rates are effective on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the following official exchange rates for foreign currencies:
1 U.S. dollar – 44.60 UAH (-3 kopecks);
1 euro – 51.44 UAH (-7 kopecks);
1 Polish zloty – 11.83 UAH (-4 kopecks).
According to the Ministry of Finance, the cash exchange rates for the dollar, euro, and zloty at Ukrainian currency exchange offices on September 17 are as follows:

Zloty 11.62/12.01

September is traditionally often accompanied by a weakening of the hryvnia against the dollar. At the same time, this year additional risk factors may include port blockades and attacks on logistics infrastructure, warehouses, and production facilities.
Such factors may affect the supply of foreign currency on the Ukrainian market and, consequently, the dynamics of the hryvnia exchange rate.
On September 16, the National Bank of Ukraine published the official exchange rates. Compared to September 15, the dollar and the zloty appreciated, while the euro depreciated.
