Lubinec revealed a detail about today's prisoner exchange
During today’s prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia, nearly all of the released Ukrainian defenders had been held captive by the enemy since 2022.
This was reported by Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights.
According to the ombudsman, about 99% of the released servicemen were captured in 2022 and spent more than four years in captivity. Among those returned were also 58 officers.
Lubinec added that the oldest of the released defenders is 66 years old, and the youngest is 26. In addition, seven servicemembers will celebrate their birthdays in June, and two of them celebrated theirs just a few days ago.

Ukraine carried out another prisoner exchange and brought home 160 soldiers who had been held captive by Russia since 2022. Among those released are defenders from various units who fought on the front lines in the most intense areas of combat. All of them are now back on Ukrainian soil and are receiving the necessary assistance.
