The Ministry of Defense has announced a reform of the TCC and is investigating complaints of violations of citizens' rights

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is preparing to reform the territorial recruitment and social support centers. At the same time, the ministry is conducting inspections of individual centers and analyzing all reports of possible violations of citizens’ rights, particularly regarding the confiscation of cell phones and instances of humiliation.

“Regarding the reform of the recruitment centers: This is a complex issue, so we are addressing it comprehensively—step by step. As for the issue of cell phones, this is unacceptable. Yes, we are responding to these issues; this is one of the matters that violate people’s legal rights. We are directly investigating all cases of cell phone confiscation or humiliation,” Shkurakov noted.

According to him, a decision has already been made to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the Mykolaiv and Odesa TCCs. He also reported that work is ongoing at the Uman TCC, and TCC Director Nekrasov has been reassigned to another position.

In addition, Shkurakov assured that the Ministry of Internal Affairs maintains separate records of problematic cases, as well as complaints from members of parliament and other organizations, to ensure their prompt and thorough review.

“The reform will happen; it is being prepared, and we plan to present it to the government in the near future,” he emphasized.
