The Ministry of Defense has doubled the bounties for the destruction of Russian drone operators
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has amended the "Drone Army. Bonus" program, placing greater priority on eliminating enemy drone crews. From now on, for every UAV operator destroyed and confirmed by the DELTA combat system, soldiers will be awarded twice as many points as they would for a regular infantryman.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Units can exchange the bonuses they receive for new drones, electronic warfare equipment, ground-based robotic systems, and necessary components.
The goal of this initiative is to minimize the “lifespan” of Russian pilots and encourage the targeting of specialists before they even deploy their equipment. As part of the program, a new target category has been introduced—“unmanned system crew”—for which all restrictions regarding distance from the front line have been lifted. This means that detecting and neutralizing operators deep in the rear is considered just as important as doing so directly at the front.
To carry out these tasks, specialized units are being formed in Ukraine, focused exclusively on locating and neutralizing enemy UAV crews. Logistics and delivery of equipment acquired through bonuses are provided by the DOT-Chain Defence digital system, which enables the transfer of equipment to units within an average of 10 days. The program also includes awarding points for successful mine clearance, reconnaissance, logistics, and evacuation, creating a comprehensive system for motivating and re-equipping the Defense Forces. Currently, the project has been expanded to include “light” air defense specialists and snipers.
The Ministry of Defense has denied rumors of a “new phase” of mobilization starting April 1.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted tests of 18 new-generation unmanned bomber prototypes, as announced by Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on March 30.
