The Ministry of Defense has eliminated dozens of paper documents in military units

In units where digital record-keeping has already been implemented, there is no longer a need to maintain paper logs, ledgers, and reports.

Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Telegram.

“In military units where digital record-keeping is already in place, there is no longer a need to maintain paper journals, ledgers, and reports. If the information is in the system, duplicating it on paper is prohibited. Military units will feel the biggest changes—56 paper documents have been eliminated for them,” Fedorov said.

According to him, paper-based work is also being reduced at all levels. Specifically: 28 documents have been abolished for support services; 16 for support centers; 12 for warehouses; and 15 for units.

“This is a systemic solution where paper-based record-keeping is being phased out at all levels of management,” the minister noted, clarifying that these changes are being implemented where a digital asset management system has already been deployed.

At the same time, as Fedorov noted, the Ministry of Defense is streamlining processes so that supplies reach units more quickly. Specifically, the process of putting assets into service has been automated—without paper documents for reclassification; centralized procurement deliveries have been accelerated—assets are transferred immediately, without waiting for the signing of an acceptance-transfer document; and UAV accounting has been made flexible—components can be transferred separately as needed by the unit.

The Ministry of Defense is automating drone procurement.

As a reminder, Fedorov reported on the occupiers’ losses from Ukrainian drones this winter.

Fedorov also revealed the strategy for finalizing mobilization plans.
