Mogyliv-Podilskyi was flooded after a downpour

A heavy downpour hit Mohyliv-Podilskyi in the Vinnytsia region, leaving part of the city underwater and making it difficult for vehicles and pedestrians to navigate the streets. Meteorologists warn that the bad weather in the region has not yet subsided, and the situation may worsen. A yellow danger level has already been declared in the region due to thunderstorms and gusty winds.

Following the heavy downpour in Mohyliv-Podilskyi, Vinnytsia Oblast, significant flooding was reported; water quickly pooled in the streets and, in some places, effectively blocked normal traffic.

Local social media accounts are posting videos showing how the city’s streets have turned into large puddles, forcing pedestrians and drivers to proceed with caution or find detours. “After a heavy downpour in Mohyliv-Podilskyi, flooding was reported; water accumulated on the city streets and disrupted traffic,” eyewitnesses told local sources.

Meanwhile, a Level I hazard warning—yellow—has been issued in the Vinnytsia region, as forecasters warn of thunderstorms, hail in some areas, and squalls with wind speeds of 15–20 m/s.

Experts are urging residents to be cautious during the storm, avoid flooded road sections, and monitor official reports on the weather situation, which may remain unstable for some time.

More than 40,000 homes in the Kyiv region are without power due to severe weather. Utility workers are working around the clock, but due to rain and strong winds, new damage to power lines continues to be reported in the region.
