The forum that Russia attacked had only 34 square meters of shelter

During a defense technology forum in the Kyiv region that came under Russian attack, more than 300 participants were at an open-air venue. The available shelter space totaled only 34 square meters, which was insufficient for the number of people present.

More than 300 people were invited to the open-air venue. The nearest shelter, with an area of only 34 square meters, was located approximately 100 meters from the event site. According to the investigation, this meant that the participants were exposed to an obvious safety risk from the very beginning.

Law enforcement officials also determined that invitations to the event were sent out nine days before it took place, while the exact location and time were announced one day in advance. The investigation is examining whether these actions could have enabled Russia to prepare a targeted strike.

Prosecutor General Kravchenko also emphasized that this event was organized without coordination with the military command, the regional and district military administrations, or other authorized bodies.

As a reminder, following Russia’s strike on a weapons exhibition near Kyiv, the event’s organizer was detained.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia had attacked a training ground hosting a defense products exhibition near Kyiv.

Prior to that, Russia had launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv in broad daylight, firing approximately 10 missiles.
