In the Odesa region, two employees of the TCC were detained for accepting bribes to remove someone from the "Obereg" registry
In the Odesa region, since early September, police have detained two representatives of the district territorial center for conscription and social support who are suspected of corruption offenses.
According to the investigation, the men demanded $2,000 and $3,500 in exchange for helping remove conscripts from the “Oberig” system’s wanted list.
The suspects in the case are the acting deputy head of one of the district recruitment and social support centers—the head of the recruitment and conscription department—as well as a conscript from the notification unit of the same center.
According to investigators, the first suspect promised, for $3,500, to help remove an acquaintance—who was evading mobilization—from the “Oberig” automated database.
Law enforcement officials claim that the serviceman was supposed to use his professional connections to resolve the matter.
Another representative of the Territorial Recruitment Center, according to the investigation, offered a conscript $2,000 to influence officials at the Territorial Recruitment Center to have him removed from the wanted list.
Thus, the two incidents involve bribes totaling $5,500.
Investigators detained both suspects in accordance with due process after they received the personal information of the men they were supposed to “assist” and the agreed-upon sums of money.
After gathering the necessary evidence, police informed the detainees of the charges against them.
If found guilty, they could face up to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.
The investigation is currently establishing the circumstances of the case, and the court will provide the final legal assessment of the suspects’ actions.
In Dnipro, near one of the high schools, a conflict involving civilians broke out during a document check by TCC officers. During the incident, pepper spray was used, and it drifted onto the school grounds, where a physical education class was in session.
