An €8.5 million soybean processing plant is being built in Volyn
In Volyn, ABM-TRADE is building a new soybean processing plant. The plant is scheduled to begin operations in November 2026, and its capacity will be approximately 190 metric tons of soybeans per day.
The facility will be able to process about 8 metric tons of raw materials per hour under continuous operation. It will produce two main types of products: roasted soybeans for pigs and poultry, as well as a soy product with a high content of protected protein for cattle.
According to Roman Ogrodnichy, head of ABM-TRADE, the new production facility is expected to expand the company’s product range, increase its customer base, and broaden its sales geography. Part of the output will be used in the company’s own production of feed and protein concentrates, while the remainder will be supplied to Ukrainian livestock farms and exported.
The company plans to source raw materials for the plant from Ukrainian farmers. Preliminary export agreements are already in place with potential buyers from the EU, Moldova, and Asia. The company is also seeing interest from African countries.
To store soybeans and finished products, the facility will install six silos manufactured by “Lubnimash” and a Sukup grain dryer. ABM-TRADE is purchasing the soybean processing equipment directly from its American partners, and the production complex is being built by LLENTAB-Ukraine.
The total investment in the project amounts to €8.5 million.

In South Africa, citrus growers have gained additional opportunities to supply fresh fruit to India after the Indian side approved new cold-treatment options against fruit flies on August 18. The decision was the result of nearly a decade of negotiations between the two countries. The South African Citrus Growers’ Association and the South African Ministry of Agriculture stated that the new protocols should improve fruit quality and provide exporters with greater logistical flexibility.
