A young man will stand trial in Volyn for the rape of two underage girls
Juvenile prosecutors from the Lutsk District Prosecutor’s Office have completed the pretrial investigation and referred the case involving a resident of one of the villages in the Lutsk District to court. The 22-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting two 13-year-old girls, as well as possessing child pornography.
It has been established that in January and February 2026, the man raped two girls he knew in the city of Lutsk and in a village in the Lutsk district.
In addition, he stored child pornography on his phone.
The accused is currently in custody.
Investigative procedures involving minors were conducted in compliance with all requirements of child-friendly justice legislation to avoid causing further trauma to the victims.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, a man opened fire on police officers during a document check. As a result of the attack, one law enforcement officer was killed and another was wounded.
In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, an unknown assailant opened fire on people. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and others were injured.
