In Transcarpathia, the search is in its second day for a 10-year-old boy swept away by the current
In the village of Hetinya in the Berehove District of Transcarpathia, four children were swept away by the current while swimming in the Tisa River.
Three of the children were quickly rescued because they managed to grab onto trees along the riverbank.
A large-scale search-and-rescue operation is currently underway to locate the fourth child, who was pulled into deeper water.
The incident occurred on June 21 at around 6:00 p.m. According to official data from the Transcarpathian Emergency Medical Center, released on Monday, June 22, the children in the water were ages 4, 10, 12, and 13.

Three of the teenagers were able to free themselves from the dangerous situation using tree roots near the shore, but the 10-year-old boy was swept downstream by the swift current.
Local residents, police officers, and professional rescuers immediately joined the large-scale search for the missing child.
Specialists are using modern technical equipment to survey the riverside area and the water. Search efforts are complicated by the nature of the mountain river and the speed of the current.

“Seven rescuers and two pieces of equipment were deployed for the search and rescue operation, and a drone was used to survey the area. Divers from Ivano-Frankivsk and the “Lviv” Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Center have also joined the search for the child,” reported the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Oblast.
This was reported by the Transcarpathian Emergency Medical Care Center.
