The Office of the Prosecutor General reported more than 100 cases of human trafficking in Ukraine
On July 30, in observance of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the Office of the Prosecutor General released the results of its efforts to combat such crimes. Law enforcement officials reported more than 100 criminal offenses detected and dozens of charges filed in cases related to the illegal exploitation of people.
Behind every statistic are human lives—victims of recruitment, forced labor, begging, sexual exploitation, and child trafficking.
The victims of such crimes include women, men, and children, particularly minors.
In 2025:
32 individuals received court convictions for human trafficking (including cases involving sexual and labor exploitation, forced begging, the sale of children, and illegal cross-border transportation).
In the first half of 2026:
- 64 individuals were notified that they were suspected of committing crimes in this category;
- 101 criminal offenses were documented and investigated; 33 indictments against 57 individuals have already been filed with the court; 9 individuals have been convicted to date.

Previously, the prosecutor’s office uncovered large-scale violations in the supply of food to prisons.
As a reminder, the National Police concluded the nationwide special operation “Gentlemen-2026,” during which law enforcement officers conducted 435 searches in 23 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv, dismantled 12 underground drug laboratories, and detained 34 individuals.
Law enforcement officers uncovered a group of four residents of the Kirovohrad and Odesa regions who are suspected of embezzling over 3.2 million hryvnias from a Ukrainian bank.
In Volyn, the State Bureau of Economic Security uncovered tax evasion totaling nearly ₴28 million in the flower business.
