The results of the vote for the Public Oversight Council at NABU have been announced
On June 10, 2026, an online ranking vote was held to select the new members of the Public Oversight Council at the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. The results were published on June 16 on the NABU official website in accordance with the established procedure for forming the Public Oversight Council.
The Public Oversight Council includes candidates from six civil society organizations:
- Public Organization “Center for Public Control”;
- “Anti-Corruption Axe” NGO;
- NGO “Independent Anti-Corruption Commission”;
- “Ukrainian Legal Society”;
- The Institute for Equal Rights;
- NGO “D7 Foundation.”
Among the winners of the vote are 4 women and 11 men.
To conduct the online voting, the National Bureau used open-source software, which allowed users to monitor the voting process in real time. The vote tally was available throughout the entire voting period.
In addition, throughout the entire voting period, an independent observer—the NGO “Electronic Democracy”—monitored the online voting process. Based on its findings, the independent observer did not identify any evidence of artificially inflated vote counts regarding the 15 individuals who received the most support from voters.
In accordance with the terms of the online ranking vote for candidates to the new composition of the RGC, votes registered by the voting system between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. were counted during the tallying of results. According to the voting protocols posted on the NABU official website, votes from 45,245 people were recorded.
As is known, NABU is investigating a case of possible embezzlement during the construction of fortifications by the Poltava Regional State Administration in Donetsk Oblast, when it was headed by Philip Pronin (currently the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service).
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted searches at the residences of all individuals involved in the case regarding the possible embezzlement of 200 million hryvnias during fortification work in Donetsk Oblast.
