Weather in Ukraine on April 24: strong winds, cold temperatures, and rain mixed with sleet in some areas
On Friday, April 24, cool and windy weather will continue across Ukraine. Precipitation will decrease, but rain is possible in some regions, with wet snow in places.
This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko on Telegram and confirmed by data from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
Northwesterly winds will pick up across the country, with gusts of 7–14 m/s, and in some places up to 15–20 m/s.
“Be careful near billboards and old trees,” she emphasized.
According to forecasters, a new wave of cold air is moving into Ukraine from northern Europe.
Cloudy weather with some sunny breaks is forecast for today. Light precipitation is possible in the east of the country, in the Sumy region, at night, and in the southeast. In these regions, rain mixed with wet snow is possible in some areas. No significant precipitation is expected in the rest of the country.
Temperatures remain low: at night: +2…+6°C, with possible frost during clear spells; during the day: +6…+12°C.
No precipitation is expected in the capital, but it will be windy. Frosts are possible at night, and daytime temperatures will be around +8…+9°.
Forecasters note that no significant warming is expected in the coming days.
After a few warm days, atmospheric fronts are moving into Ukraine, which will cause a deterioration in weather conditions.
Cool weather will persist in Ukraine through the end of April due to the dominance of northern air masses.
