A police officer from Poltava was notified of the charges against him after the man was taken to the TCC
Officials from the State Bureau of Investigations have notified a police officer from Poltava that he is under suspicion; he is accused of injuring a man while transporting him to the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. The investigation is being conducted with the assistance of National Police leadership.
In October 2025, the victim was sitting in his own parked car when police officers, along with representatives of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, approached him. After checking his documents, the man was informed that he was wanted for evading mobilization and was to be taken to the TCC.
The man refused and asked the law enforcement officers to act in accordance with the law and properly document his arrest. Instead, they used unjustified force against him: they twisted his arms, beat him, and then forcibly placed him in a police vehicle.
He was then taken to the TCC, where he remained for about a day. A forensic medical examination documented a number of bodily injuries sustained by the victim, including a fracture of the head of the left radius.
The police officer whose actions led to the man’s injuries has been notified of a suspicion of abuse of power and official authority by a law enforcement officer, accompanied by violence (Part 2 of Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The penalty under this article provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment. The suspect has been placed in pretrial detention with the possibility of bail.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, the actions of other individuals present during the incident are also being examined. The Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office is overseeing the proceedings, according to the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR).
We would like to add that in the Rivne region, an official from the Trade and Customs Chamber will stand trial for accepting bribes in the form of money and cars.
As a reminder, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) have announced new charges in the Midas case against a former executive director for security at Energoatom.
A former official of the State Border Guard Service has been charged in a corruption case.
