Police conducted searches at Lviv Agrarian University in Dublyany
On Tuesday, September 29, police investigators conducted searches at Lviv National Agrarian University in Dublyany. Information about the investigative actions first appeared on local Telegram channels around 11:00 a.m.
The Lviv Regional Police press office confirmed that the searches took place but is not disclosing any details at this time. Law enforcement officials explained that additional information will be available once the investigative proceedings are complete.
According to our own sources, the searches are being conducted at the homes of university faculty members.
Lviv National University of Natural Resources in Dublyany had previously sustained damage as a result of a Russian attack.
On New Year’s Eve, January 1, 2024, a Russian drone damaged one of the university’s buildings. In early September 2026, repair and restoration work began there.
Meanwhile, on September 26, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the reorganization of the Lviv National University of Natural Resources.
It was decided to merge the institution with the Hrytsko Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology.
The Ministry of Education and Science explained that this merger would allow for the consolidation of the two institutions’ resources and strengthen their capabilities.
The plan was to create a competitive agrotechnological university based on the two institutions, with campuses in Lviv and Dublyany.
The reasons for the current searches of faculty members and any details of the criminal proceedings have not yet been officially disclosed.
Videos posted on social media show people in uniform carrying automatic weapons and wearing body armor on the university campus.
This was reported by the Lviv Regional Police Press Office.
Previously, questions arose regarding a search conducted by the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) in Odesa last week. According to Oleg Shram, a representative of the National Bar Association of Ukraine, NABU detectives, along with about 50 border guard service personnel armed “to the teeth,” violated a number of laws during the search.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has denied reports of alleged searches at the home of the former head of the Defense Procurement Agency. A video circulating online as evidence of the investigative actions turned out to be fake.
