The singer of the hit song “To Putin—Khan,” Mykola Yanchenko, has died

Mykola Yanchenko, a Ukrainian singer, composer, poet, actor, and People’s Artist of Ukraine, known in particular for his performance of the song “Putin—Khan,” has died at the age of 67.

Natalia Zabolotna, head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, announced the artist’s death. The family has not yet disclosed the cause of death.

According to Zabolotna, Yanchenko dedicated his life to Ukrainian music and cultural development, supported young artists, and launched artistic projects. His work was well known not only in the Vinnytsia region but also in other regions of Ukraine.

Mykola Yanchenko left behind dozens of songs and a long-standing contribution to the development of Ukrainian art.
