The Rivne Nuclear Power Plant has a new general director
The joint-stock company "NAEK "Energoatom"" has officially appointed Viktor Kravets as the new CEO of the "Rivne NPP" branch.
The personnel decision to appoint this experienced manager to a strategic facility of the country’s energy infrastructure was made on June 10.
The new head of the branch is a native of the region where the plant’s railway and industrial infrastructure is located.
Viktor Kravets was born in 1970 in the city of Kostopil, Rivne Oblast. In 1994, he successfully graduated from the Obninsk Institute of Nuclear Energy with a degree in the prestigious field of “Nuclear Power Plants and Facilities,” where he officially earned the qualification of “nuclear engineer-thermal power engineer.”
Immediately after completing his studies, the young specialist began his career directly at the Rivne NPP, starting as an engineer in the Department of Nuclear Safety and Reliability.
Over a long period of time, the specialist steadily climbed the corporate ladder at the nuclear power plant.
He worked as an engineer in the equipment commissioning and testing shop, and later in the technical and operational control department.
Since 2003, he has headed the Metal and Welding Control Department within the Technical and Operational Control Division.
Subsequently, from 2005 to 2017, Viktor Kravets directly oversaw the work of the entire metal control service at the Rivne NPP.
